Hack Wendy’s for Free Air Travel
This is one of the coolest promotions to come out in a long time. Currently, Wendy’s has a promtion worked out with AirTran Airways in the form of travel coupons and, if you take advantage of the program in the right way, this can be very profitable for you. For their current promotion, they are placing coupons for 1/4 credit for an A+ Rewards Credit voucher on their 20oz and 32oz cups betweeen 11/1/05 and 12/31/05. For 8 A+ Rewards Credits you get a free one-way coach ticket.
What exactly does this mean? Well if you get 32 drinks you get a free one-way coach ticket! 64 drinks gets you a round-trip ticket. 128 drinks gets, you guessed it, 2 round-trip tickets! Incidently, in the promotion stipulations 128 drinks is the most you can cash in per AirTran Airways Award accounts, but 2 round-trip tickets to anywhere in the US is pretty freakin sweet.
Here’s the math. Say one 20oz beverage is $1.29 (I’m sure this won’t work with water purchases but it couldn’t hurt to try)
64 drinks * $1.29 per drink = $82.56
Now, for example, I just searched for a round-trip ticket from Atlanta, GA to LA, CA and (if I’m reading this page right) the total price was $291 for one-way and $582 for round-trip. Of course, this was a last minutes search of flights that left today - so I’m sure if you planned ahead you could get better deals.

$582-$82.56= $499.44 = the amount of money you save/make on this deal!!
$499.44/64 drinks = $7.80 of profit you make on every drink you purchase. And that’s not to mention the enjoyable beverage you have too!
Now, if you want to take this to the extreme (and I encourage that) you can try other methods, including but not limited too:
- dumpster diving
- stealing other’s cups from their table
- bribing a Wendy’s employee for the coupon cups out the backdoor
each of these methods would decrease the $82.56 investment and theirby increase your profit. This game is wide open and ready to be taken advantage off!

I worry about this rule. I don’t think they intended it to disqualify lots of people. But, I worry about these things.
“Offer open only to consumers who have an AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account and are 18 years of age or older as of 11/1/05. ”
So, techncially I’m disqualified, because its 11/7 today & this the first time I’ve had a desire to get an AirTran rewards account.
But, then… And this is funny. The rules go on to describe how to open an account.
If you do not have an AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account, you may create one at no cost by visiting www.aplusrewards.com and following the on-line instructions.
So, why are they saying this… So, you open an account today & have one for the next promotion?

Dur…
Never mind. You gotta be 18 by 11/1/05… Not a Airways A+ member.

Offer open only to consumers who have an AirTran Airways A+ Rewards account and are 18 years of age or older as of 11/1/05 so if you are not 18 years old as of 11/1/05 get your mom to do it for you…..You can create an AirTran Account anytime. Thanks for the nice digg

Is there one of those stupid “must be a US resident” clauses?

call 1-866-409-0762 then press 0 and you can ask them what Wendys in your town are participating. (From what i have seen it is only corporate wendys - not franchises)

I’ve been definitely pushing this deal to its limits. I’ve been diving pretty much every other night since I found out about this. I go at 2:30 am when I’m the only person around, and dig through with a flashlight and some dishwashing gloves. I don’t hop in, I just dig through whatever I can reach from the outside. I’m averaging about 35 per store (as little as 5, as many as 60), which takes me about 15 to 20 minutes. In about an hour or two (including driving time between stores) I usually end up with 80-100+ having visited about 3 different stores. There’s about 20 scattered in different areas throughout my city, some with bigger drive times than others.
So far I’ve got enough for two RT flights for all 4 of the friends I travel with, I’m getting my step-dad a RT flight for christmas so he can visit his son, and we’re working on extras for possible resale to other people. We’re also probably going to offer 10 dollars per 50 cups to an employee (20 per 100) once one of us works up the balls to ask.
Sketchiest moment: finding a homeless guy sleeping behind one of the dumpsters. So be careful going to the wendy’s in the ghetto
Comment by izz — November 23, 2005 @
oh, and I forgot to mention - every wendy’s but one I’ve been to has a wooden fence-like enclosure around their dumpster, so you don’t really have to worry too much about people driving by seeing you…
Comment by izz — November 23, 2005 @
wow dude, that is awesome!! way to rack in the points!! When you get your tickets be sure to snap a pic and send it over. I’ll definately post your success story photos

Mybrother and i have pulled enough cups for him and i to get 2 roundtrip tickets… One for my boyfriend.. and enough to sell them around to people we know… we sell them for about 100 a round trip… we have made over 700… this is all getting put towards a trip to disney world! We just got back and Pulled 126 out of one dumpster!!
Good luck Diving all!

If anyone is thinking this is too good to be true, AitTran is a fairly new airline and they are one of the few airlines who are not ‘in the red’ or going bankrupt. they are trying to get business and this is a great way to get it, beacuse everyone flys Delta or other more widley known airlines, and this is a way to get their name out.
Comment by Tiffany — December 5, 2005 @
so, like, if the cops catch you for theft and/or dumpster diving and trespassing…you can use all those sold tickets you got to pay the fines while you’re in jail or doing community service.
Comment by Smackyourbusted — December 13, 2005 @
its no illegal to do it…. we looked into it…. there are no signs that say No Trespassing…..so dive away…. if there was a sign then yes you could get in trouble..

I would strongly recomend that you do not hack into any air line-
ticket confirmation such as (hack wendys for free air travel).
It’s a bad idea to hack government monitored sites such as
online bookings of air travel. These sites are constantly monitored
by A.T.F. and could result in federal proscution. You would need
three computers operating windows OS,windows 95 to ME and
the third would need a software to monitor the other two.Windows (XP)has too many safeguards ,and XML files monitor you from internet securitys.I suggest that you know what you are doing when you HACK!!!!!!!(or you’ll get caught ):
