[...] You might remeber back to a post a while back about a band called the Minibosses. After this post my life was changed. Then I wasted a couple hours seeking out other classic video game music. One place I found which most people know about is OverClocked Remix which has a bunch of games I have never played, not really what I was looking for. So I continued my search. Then I stumbled across the tetris song, with mad thrashing guitars and I was like w00t I have found what I have been looking for: the band PowerGlove. The song is free to download here: PowerGlove-Tetris. You can also listen to 3 more songs on their myspace page. Support them if you like them! [...]

Wow. I've seen all the various Mario theme renditions (I think), but nothing can touch Minibosses take on Mega Man 2. Unless it's Michael Bolton doing "When a man loves a woman."

Quick "mario theme" search on CH yeilds:
http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/162324/ (mario theme acoustic)
http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/Mario+theme/159585/ (mario theme guitar)
http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/165265/ (simpsons theme)
http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/Mario+theme/138298/ (acapella nintendo)
