Ever wanted your own Segway scooter? I’ll admit the thought has crossed my mind from time to time but the conclusion I always come to is that it would be a complete and utter waste of money. What’s so bad with walking anyway? Of all the things that I want science to replace in my life walking is definitely not one of them. But if the mood should strike you, and there is just no talking you out of it, may I recommend building your own Segway instead? That way at least all the energy you save from walking to the bathroom will be paid for in advance from all the work it will take you to build the thing.

Actually, this project looks pretty fun. I’m sure you could find worse ways to spend a week. Plus you will get major geek points from riding your own home built Segway.
