Oh man, this takes me back! This site has loads of pictures from the very first issue of Nintendo Power magazine - the gigantic Nintendo commercial that kids in the 80’s (read: me) actually paid to read. I was such a geek back then that I actually had my parents order back issues of this magazine just so I didn’t miss anything, lol. I was any consumer corporations dream target. Inside the front cover of this issue was an ad for the Nintendo Power Hotline where you could call in and get tips on how to beat the NES games. I remember one time I actually talked my dad into letting me call (at $1.99 a minute). All I heard was this recording of a really weird sounding guy talking about “Ghosts and Goblins”. I don’t remember exactly what he said but it couldn’t have helped too much since I still haven’t beaten that freaking impossible game.
