How To Make a Secret Hollow Book

This is a smooth little ‘how to’ for the non-technical. Got a secret stash that you don’t want anyone to see? Or do you simply want to store your floppy disks the way Neo does in the Matrix? Either way you should check out this thorough explanation of how to create a secret storage book. It could also come in handy the next time you are stuck in prison with nothing more than a Bible and a rock-hammer.

There *must* be a better way to cut through those pages. I’ll be damned if I’m going to waste several hours over the course of several days slicing through a book with a box cutter.
How about this:
1.) Glue all the pages. I mean drown them in glue so it dries completely solid.
2.) Go to sleep
3.) Drill several holes through the pages (taking care to keep the cover unmarked)
4.) Jig saw that mofo.

Oh I definitly want to see pictures with a jigsaw. That would make things a lot eaiser. I want to make one now too! Someone left a comment about using a dremal to make the cut. Would this work good?

Gah. It only takes an hour to do by hand with the worst of tools. I used to make these when I was what? Seven?

I think any decent nerd should rig his book to have a light sensitive buzzer alarm in the book.

A dremel would probably work pretty well at cutting, but it would also make a huge mess - paper shreds would probably be everywhere.

Here’s how I did it… folded the cover back, got two pieces of plywood (atleast the size of the pages) and clamped them on either side of the pages with a bunch of C clamps. Drilled four holes in each corner of the hollow. Then cut it out with the saws all (I tried a jigsaw, but it wouldn’t fit with the clamps). Not the neatest job, but it worked

Haha, I am 13 and these things I take a paint brush and mix a solution of 70% Glue 30% Waters on the side and save one page and then press and let dry for 20-30 minutes and then I cut all the pages except the first. After that I glue the inside and put another coat on the outside and let it dry. They I put glue around the rim of the pages on the top glued the bottom to the page cover and than the top page I saved to it and cut that out that way it is all hollow and Only ops from front page. About 3-4 hours of manual labor total. But my friends by for 20-50 dollars depending on the quality and size.
