Urinal Video Games

“On Target” is a new conceptual art piece that integrates a fully functional men’s restroom with modern video games. In order to interact with the software, a pressure-sensitive display screen is installed in the urinal. Once it detects the user’s presence, a game is automatically started complete with visual and audio effects. The user simply controls the game through his own … um, stream. No word yet on the quality of games that “On Target” currently plays or whether there are multiplayer capabilities (hopefully not) but it is still a very interesting idea.

Anyone intersted in making their own versions for home use should check out this site. While not a completely thorough walkthrough, it provides the basic concepts used by MIT students who created the original version of the urinal games.
