VirtuSphere - Totally Immersive VR
VirtuSphere is a new Virtual Reality technology that allows a user to truly ‘walk’ in 3D computer generated terrain. All you do is climb into the rig, but on the VR goggles and start walking. It looks good, still miles off usage for the home, although it does look a little Unresponsive at times in the video, im sure a few tweaks, and making it more responsive, and playing Unreal Tournament or such would be a lot of fun

Yes the play definately looked gimpy at best. As much as I like to see VR advancements, this looks to be a tech. for the Military and the Arcades only.
Can you imagine having one of those in your living room? The cost has got to be enourmous as well.

yeah, hopefully this will get used in some arcades soon and there will once again be a purpose for paying per play. DDR can only last so long and when its done, arcades are in trouble.

This isn’t new by a long shot. They demoed a similar system on the BBC’s Tomorrow’s world except that version didn’t need the headset, the image was simply projected on the sphere. This sort of game gets tiring really fast and it suffers from the usual problem of lack of feedback.

i must say i am Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. I see that the pirate theme is back!
While I was in Disney World, I got a chance to ride the new revamped Pirates of the Carribean (sp?). It was really cool how they worked Captain Jack Sparrow into the ride. They even had a guy dressed up as him outside the ride giving tips on how to be a pirate. The kids seem to love that character!

I cannot completely commit to Camp 1 as I do think there are times, and situations, where users have to take responsibility for their own choices.
