Geexy Tron Shoes

Ok, maybe I lied. Maybe these shoes don’t deserve the term geexy, but they are definitely … something. Some of you may know how I feel about Tron, but that aside I can’t imagine any circumstance where I would subject my feet to such nonsense. Kotaku seems to think otherwise though.

In 1982 Tron was one of the first films to incorporate computer generated graphics. Over the years Tron has achieved an almost cult status amongst computer gamers around the world. The Stan Smith Comfort shows Tron himself on the tongue and his enemy the Master Control Programmer on the footbed.

  1. I absolutely love Tron, however I do agree with you in that there would be no occasion whatsoever that anyone should be caught dead in those. They’re not so much for you to wear as they are just to have, although I would wear the matching Tron track jacket any day of the week. These are a super-limited edition pair of sneakers and I think any geek should at least own a pair. Wearing them all depends on your own comfort level lol.

  2. Is there an occasion that someone might be caught dead is these shoes??…try every waking moment!! these shoes a blast for every occasion!!…A more practical app might be the local rave(which they are fabulouse for) or better yet…saturday night of “burning man”….Lan parties, tech conventions, job interviews, dates…the list goes on and on. If my computer had a bug and a guy showed up to fix it wearing a pair of these I’d feel rest assured that it would be up and running in no time..my only regret…is that they don’t come with built in blinking lights. Guess i’ll jus have to hack some on:)
