Zerosign Flashback - One year ago from today I posted this find from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Now that I have the full power of YouTube at my disposal, I believe it deserves another look
*cringe* Electrical Engineering students at UAB performing parodies of popular(?) songs with an electrical engineering theme. Actually, they are pretty funny. Not so much of a “haha funny” though. Its more of a “man this is awkward” kinda funny. The videos feature “Friends in Three Phases” (Garth Brooks parody), “Ohm’s Law Pie” (Don McLean parody), and definitely my favorite “In da EE Club” performed by 50 Ohm (50 Cent parody).
This week’s second fantastic NES hack comes from the BenHeck forums (you are already registered there, aren’t you?). This clever modder took a third party NES knockoff and crammed all the retro goodness into an actual NES controller. In addition to the awesomeness of simply relishing in its own irony it also looks pretty fun to play. The controller also sports a cartridge dock, extra controller connections and a glowing red Nintendo logo. NEStastic!
Incredible modding here. Acid Mods managed to get Doom on a 4G iPod and control all the action with an old NES controller. Definitely need to see a how to for this one.
