ok…now I’m an electrical engineer and know alot of electrical engineers, but this video totally got me. I had to watch it a few times before I came to the ultimate conclusion that this is a joke. At least, I’m fairly sure this is a joke. If it’s serious, however, then I need to go back to school.
Make has pointed us to some awesome tesla coil pictures from a Flickr user named “Tesla1000″. In his photo pool there are images of high-voltage tesla coils that will impress EE’s and laymen alike.

Apparently this is a pretty old Honda Commercial that aired in the UK some time ago. However, it’s new to me so it’s probably new to a few others out there as well. It’s rumored that this video took over 600 shots before the machine worked exactly as planned. I hope that’s true and that no special effects were used but either way, it’s still fun to watch.
